White Male Page 15

“Baby, I want to do this all night with you,” he whispered, swiveling his hips to stroke his cock deep inside my sex while looking into my eyes.

I met him thrust for thrust, circling my hips, while stroking his back and ass, enjoying the strength and beauty of his male body.

“Yes baby,” I replied. “I want that with you.”

For most of the night we were at each other, each of us too desperate for one another to stop. Even when he fell asleep succumbing to the effects of jet lag after his long flight, I’d stroked his dick until it was stiff, then climbed on top of him to ride him hard, taking what I wanted, waking him up to find his cock inside me. By the early hours of the morning, when I’d made him come once more, he could barely move and his eyes were mere slits watching me smiling beside him.

"I think you are planning my death," he said hoarsely, lying there helplessly.

"Take the keys to my penthouse and my Porsche. They are yours," he added, pointing weakly in the general direction of his keys on the dresser. I giggled; just glad I had that effect on him.

  Chapter Sixteen

On Saturday morning I woke up to Jonathan's kisses. I tried to avoid giving him an open mouthed kiss before I’d brushed my teeth, but he deepened the kiss, not to caring about my concern. I heard the sound of a vacuum cleaner starting up downstairs and sat up, wondering who’d let themselves in.

"It's housekeeping, she’ll stay downstairs until we go down," he assured me.

When we went to the bathroom, I following him to ‘his’ shower where he bathed me gently and lovingly, like he loved to do. He spent extra time caressing my breasts and ass and then making me come repeatedly until I was limp and purring in his arms as he fucked me doggy style under the cascade of water from the steam shower.

I wanted to leave after breakfast so I left him to finish in the shower while I wore a short, strapless, sun dress without a bra and panties, then went downstairs to start making breakfast with the groceries I’d brought.

He soon followed downstairs looking as sexy as ever shirtless, wearing long black shorts, with his feet bare. His hair was still damp and brushed back carelessly and he was sporting, as always, his designer stubble that made him look so delicious. The friendly middle-aged Hispanic housekeeper immediately ascended upstairs to clean the bedroom areas, having finished all the living areas and the kitchen, leaving my discarded bra on a pile with other clothes, neatly folded. Jonathan came up behind me and put his arms around my waist while I was beating eggs in a bowl.

"You’re spoiling me, Lena. I have you in my kitchen barefoot already," he joked, turning me around for a kiss. That had me giggling and dancing out of his reach as he tried to smack my naked ass under my dress.

I kicked him out of the kitchen while I made breakfast; finding his shirtless, delectable ass too distracting. Soon I heard him discussing business related issues with someone on the phone.

After I’d made a breakfast of scrambled eggs, waffles and bacon, we ate together in the kitchen, talking and laughing, sharing funny little anecdotes from our respective childhoods. He was such a story teller; I struggled to believe he once survived three days in the woods by himself at the age of ten, because he was afraid to go home and be punished for releasing the handbrake and letting his father’s vintage car roll into a deep pond.

We heard the phone ring from the front desk and he went off to answer it. My heart fluttered as I wondered who it might be, remembering my horrible encounter with Nadine. Jonathan noticed my discomfort. He was back in a moment.

“Don’t worry, it’s just the courier; I’m expecting documents to sign.”

He went to the front door to answer it, as the courier had to be sent up in the regular elevators. I stood up from the kitchen counter and peeped around the corner to assure myself that it was nobody who might know me. I watched him express his surprise and then usher his personal assistant, Janice, into the penthouse. Damn it. I’d have to remain hidden until she left.

They disappeared out of sight headed for Jonathan’s home office. I breathed a sigh of relief. I was not ready for anybody from the Downtown office to know I was seeing Jonathan. Janice had worked for Strauss Carter for about two years. Office chit-chat had reported that she was the niece of one of the biggest clients we had; a multi-million dollar contract that had been won by Jonathan and her job offer had been the price of closing the deal. She was a stunningly, attractive woman with long dark brown hair and a slender body. It was odd to have her bringing documents personally when we all knew that she normally sent Jackson or a courier over to the penthouse for any signatures we needed back at the office.

I finished my coffee in the kitchen and waited until the housekeeper finished cleaning upstairs. I intended to dash back up there to wait until Janice left.

When the housekeeper finally came down, I walked quietly and briskly towards the stairs, hoping nobody could hear me. Just as I was on the third step, Janice and Jonathan emerged from the office. On seeing me, her dazzling smile framed by bright red lips quickly faded and was replaced first by shock, then confusion, as her heavily mascara’ed eyelashes blinked rapidly; as though she could not quite compute what she was seeing. Jonathan was relaxed as he led her towards the hallway, rattling off instructions to her. She’d seen me, and she’d seen that I saw her see me. I carried on going up the steps acting as though everything was totally fucking normal.

“Babe,” Jonathan called to me. “Janice was just dropping some documents off; she’s leaving now.”

I stopped in my tracks and came back down, wishing Jonathan had kept his trap shut. He just had to completely out us by calling me ‘babe’. My marketing training kicked in and I was able to relax and smile even though my emotions were raging inside. Now somebody from the office knew. It was more than obvious that something was going on between me and her boss. I was dressed provocatively in a strapless mini dress and he’d been shirtless when he answered the door, although he’d since pulled on a T-shirt. I approached them.

  “Hello, Janice.”

She glanced at Jonathan who was totally at ease, paging through his copies of the documents.

  “Err… Hi, Lena.”

I could see her thoughts written all over her face. What are you doing here? How dare you? OMG… Like, who even invited you here? Wisely, she said nothing.

Jonathan opened the door for her to leave, then pulled me to his side and put his arm around my waist.

“Thanks, Janice, although you didn’t have to come with these on your day off. Maybe I never made it clear before; but please see to it that from now on, any documents that need to come to the penthouse must come with Jackson or a courier.”

I could tell he was a little irritated that she’d come in person and he was making sure it would never happen again. She blinked and looked at him; I sensed a little tension between them I hadn’t noticed before. They’d been together in Miami; I wondered if something had happened.

“Err... these are the confidential Miami documents, Mr. Carter. They arrived while you were in Switzerland and I wasn’t sure I could trust them with anybody else.”

“Jackson can be trusted with everything; you know that,” he reprimanded her tersely.

She went bright red, and then coughed a little fake cough, trying to pull herself together. I could tell she was humiliated. I could also tell she’d come because she was making a play for Jonathan and was clearly being rebuffed in my presence.

“My apologies, Mr. Carter,” she said, avoiding both our gazes.

“No need to apologize; thank you,” he offered, opening the door wider.

She let herself out and half ran to the bank of elevators, barely balancing in her stilettos.

“Okay,” I began, taking a deep breath as he shut the door, “someone from the office has seen me here.”

He took my hand and began walking towards the living room, dropping his papers on the coffee table.

  “So?” he shrugged.

  “So?”
I asked him incredulously. “We talked about this, that I wasn’t ready for people at work to know about us.”

He sat down on the couch and pulled me into his lap.

“Janice is my PA. Her job, among other things, is to make sure she protects my privacy and anyone who concerns me.”

I shook my head; I knew Janice was very professional but I also knew how quickly a juicy story could spread. He kissed my temple and pulled me closer to him.

“I don’t want you worrying about this. Forget it.”

Just then the housekeeper came through the living room, on her way to clear the kitchen again.

We went back upstairs and I began to pack my stuff to go back to my apartment. Jonathan was about to speak but he was interrupted by a phone call from one of the senior executives at Strauss Carter and was chatting on the phone, watching me getting my stuff together. When he was done he came up to me and pulled me into his arms, giving me a soft kiss on my lips.

“It’s your birthday next Friday,” he began.

I looked at him, exasperated. “You’ve been snooping in my employee file again,” I retorted.

“I have a surprise for you,” he smiled looking into my eyes.

I remembered Shereen’s advice to take as much as I could, but that wasn’t me. I pulled out of his arms.

“I don’t want anything, Jonathan. The chocolates were hard enough to accept. Whatever it is, please return it.” My face was serious; I wasn’t some gold digger who wanted gifts from him.

He looked startled for a moment.

“I haven’t bought anything yet; that’s not the surprise I had a mind.”

  Oh. How embarrassing.

“Okay, sorry; I thought you meant you’d bought me a gift or something like that.” I was blushing, embarrassed that I’d been rather presumptuous. He stood there, his hands in his pockets; looking at me as though I’d tried to cut him.

“So if I bought you a gift, you wouldn’t accept it?”

  “No, I wouldn’t.”

  “Why?”

“Because it just wouldn’t sit right with me. I’m not with you for gifts.”

I remembered when Willis and I broke up, and he’d sent his shady low-life friend to come over to my place to collect some costume jewelry and other worthless gifts he’d given me. Now I was making my own money and was determined to buy my own stuff. No man was ever going buy me anything, only to take it back when things didn’t work out.

He ran his fingers through his hair and I could see he was processing what I’d said.

“That’s crazy, Lena. If I bought you something and you refused to accept it… that would really upset me.”

“I don’t need you to spend money on me,” I argued. “You are enough.”

“To me, it’s not about spending the money; it’s the thought that counts, isn’t it? People who like each other buy each other stuff sometimes.”

I knew he was right but I couldn’t back down now.

“My decision is final, Jonathan. No stuff, I can take care of myself.”

He looked at me for a moment then stalked off to grab his wallet from the dresser, pulling several hundred dollar bills from it.

“Since you feel that way,” he said stuffing the money into my purse, “I have to return the money you spent on the groceries you bought for us this weekend.”

I snatched my purse and took the money out, placing it on his bed.

“No, Jonathan, I don’t need you to reimburse me for the groceries; that’s crazy. It was my choice to buy them.”

“And if I bought you anything, it would be my choice too,” he snapped, stuffing the money back into my purse.

He got me. I had to concede. I took in a deep breath.

“Okay, I apologize. I get it.”

“It will go easier for you if you don’t fight me about this. You’re my woman and I might want to buy you stuff. I can afford it, ok? I’ve already held back for as long as I could but you’re mine now, Lena; and as your man it’s my right. Deal with it; for me.”

As your man? He sure knew exactly what to say to have me eating straight out of his hand. But it’d still take some getting used to and I didn’t want him to think he could freely go overboard with the spending.

“I know I can’t compete, Jonathan, but I’ll always try to even the score. So just so you know, please don’t make it awkward for me.”

He rolled his eyes sighing dramatically for my benefit. Irritated Jonathan could look especially delicious. I smiled to dissipate the tension I’d created.

“So what’s the surprise?” I asked, coming back into his arms. He relaxed and lowered his head for a quick kiss.

“I’m taking you away on Thursday for a couple days and we’ll be back Saturday.”

“I don’t think I can take time off.”

He snorted. “Well, I’m the last person to give that excuse. You have your passport, right?”

  Passport? He’s going overboard.

“I’m not sure it’s valid,” I lied. I needed time to think about this when he wasn’t melting me with his sexiness. His smile disappeared.

“Lena, your job file says you have one. Can you please stop this? I want to spend time with you away from everyone.”

I sighed. Of course I’d told them I had a valid passport.

“Okay, okay,” I conceded. “Where are we going?”

  “The Bahamas.”

Wow. I’d always wanted to go there.

“That sounds amazing,” I smiled, while wondering how much it would cost him both for the trip and his time.

“What can I pitch in for the cost?”

“Not this again. It’s your birthday for goodness sake,” he complained, irritably. I could tell he genuinely didn’t like it; I decided to drop it; for now.

  “Okay! What’s the plan?”

“So tomorrow night I’m going to New York to be there for an early Monday meeting. I’ll be back Wednesday. So we leave Thursday afternoon. But take the whole of Thursday off; I want you rested. I’ll pick you up around noon.”

“Okay, thanks for inviting me; I look forward to it.”

“Me too,” he mumbled, already pulling my dress down to expose my breasts to his touch.

  Chapter Seventeen

Monday morning I walked into work, bright and early, with a spring in my step. I’d had a great time with Jonathan, eventually leaving late Saturday afternoon back to my apartment. I’d never been so glad to see my period arrive Saturday evening which meant I’d be cleared by Wednesday. I put my bags in my cubicle then went to the kitchen to get myself a coffee fix for an extra hard work-day. If Jonathan planned to shave two days off my work week, I’d have to work extra hard the other three days to stay on top of my work. Besides, I had to start tying lose ends of the many prospects I’d lined up for future business if I was planning to leave the department permanently in the near future.

I opened the kitchen door and my step faltered a little; Janice was in there making her coffee. Our eyes met and I noticed a sneer in her expression that I’d never seen before. Many times in the past, I’d bumped into her in the kitchen and she’d always been pleasant, but I could sense that something had shifted between us. I smiled sweetly and went to grab a mug from the cupboard. Californians perfected mean girls; I could deal.

“Hi, Janice,” I breathed while pouring coffee in my mug.

She took a sip before responding.

“Hi, Lena.” Her voice sounded bitchy.

I grabbed the sweetener and low fat milk, hoping I could get out of there before it got any more awkward. She was done and walked towards the kitchen door to leave. As she opened the door, she paused and turned around, looking me right in the eye.

“Did you have a good weekend?”

  “The best,” I replied.

  She left.

Walking back to my desk, I was a little uncomfortable. I did not like the way she looked at me when she asked about my weekend. Jonathan had dismissed any concern about J
anice and seemed to trust her very much. But I’d seen the disappointment in her eyes back at the penthouse when she realized I was with him. The sky high heels, the open blouse she was wearing on a Saturday to deliver documents to his apartment; it was obvious to me she wanted him. While she’d been pleasant to me before, I could now sense that she saw me as some type of threat. She’d worked for him for a couple of years and would have likely met a few of his girlfriends. She was there at the mixer when he was with Isabella, but I didn’t recall her being as nasty to her as she was being to me. Perhaps it was my own guilt at being caught at the penthouse that was making the issue bigger than it was. I switched on my computer, filed my leave days for Thursday and Friday, then got right into my work.

Tuesday morning, we had our meeting, with Mr. Baker chairing it. After the meeting, I stood up to hurry back to my work.

“Lena, a moment please,” Mr. Baker asked as I was walking out of the conference room.

I came back to the table while everyone filed out. I noticed Janice giving me a brief, smug glance as she walked out of the room. I turned around to face Mr. Baker.

“Lena, please sit down,” he asked, indicating the chair directly next to his.

As I sat down, I noticed he seemed to be struggling to say what he wanted.

“Lena,” he began, “I don’t know how to say this because it’s extremely intrusive, but I like you and I want you to continue working for us. It’s been brought to my attention that you’ve been behaving inappropriately around Mr. Carter.”

Instantly, a lump in my body appeared out of nowhere and lodged itself in my chest. My mind was racing with how to respond to what was essentially a grossly twisted accusation. I decided to go on the offensive.
