White Male Page 23

"I'm not finished," he said huskily, pulling me to a standing position, making sure I was steady since I was still in my heels. He pulled the comforter off the bed and threw it on the floor.

"On your hands and knees," he commanded, pointing to the comforter.

I scrambled down on my knees, sticking my ass up and leaning on my elbows.

  “I'm not on the Pill."

  "I'll pull out."

He scrambled after me and without a moment to waste, he took his massive dick in hand and fed it into my sex, almost immediately beginning a potent fucking pace. He stretched my clenching tissues so tightly, I was gasping to absorb the feeling of being filled to capacity. His grunting was primal as he plunged in and out powerfully, no longer attempting to hold anything back. I could tell he’d gone beyond the limits of his self-restraint as he held my hips tightly, almost painfully, pulling me onto his rigid erection, while his thighs rhythmically slapped my ass with each thrust.

"Fuck. I missed that jiggle. What that ass does to me," he groaned, stroking and lifting my butt cheeks firmly. His voice was laced with lust and want like never before. I turned to watch in the mirror on the closet beside us; his face was etched with lust while his ass was clenching and relaxing at a brutal pace as he fucked hard. His body was drenched with perspiration and I felt him thicken as his orgasm came close. He slowed down and came to a stop, pulling out reluctantly to bring himself under control, panting wildly.

"Turn over,” he groaned, “I want to see your face while I make love to you, Lena."

I turned over while he grabbed two nearby pillows from the bed. He put one under my head and one under my ass then removed my shoes.

He came back over me and slid in his cock, filling me slowly and exquisitely, maintaining eye contact, his elbows resting on either side of my face. I closed my eyes for a moment to absorb the sensations of his slow, deep thrusts.

"Open your eyes, Lena," he pleaded. "I missed you, I love you so much. Please hold me."

I put my arms around him, moving them up and down his back, feeling his ass as he clenched deliciously and sensually. His intense blue eyes stared into my brown eyes, and I saw the unmistakable love and devotion in their depths.

"Tell me you still love me baby, please," he begged as he thrust in and out, stretching me pleasurably with each thrust.

"I still love you, Jonathan," I confessed, as a tear slipped from my eye, trickling towards my ear and he lapped it up quickly.

"I'll give up everything for you, Lena. Take me back, baby; I just can't stay away," He gritted his teeth and began fucking harder.

“Come back to me, baby,” he pleaded, as his cock swelled and lengthened inside me.

My sex began to clench and squeeze him as a climax ripped through my body again. He gave two more hard thrusts then he pulled out, growling while coming, spraying the top of my sex with his cum. He collapsed on the floor beside me, breathing heavily and pulled me to his chest. We lay there for endless minutes, each deep in our own thoughts absorbing what had just happened. We still had amazing sexual chemistry, the time apart had done nothing to dissipate it; instead, it had intensified.

Slowly, as I was coming down from the exhilaration of my climax, I began to feel vulnerable. I’d let him seduce me again. The sex was mind blowing; I knew in my heart I couldn't resist him whenever I was alone with him. I loved him and today he told me he loved me. But what would that mean? He came all the way to LA for me, for this. What did he want?

Eventually, he stirred and shifted me beside him, then rose from the bed we'd made on the floor and helped me up.

"Bath with me, then we'll talk."

He picked up the landline phone and ordered food from the hotel restaurant downstairs to be sent up in one hour.

I let him lead me by hand to the en suite bathroom. It was massive, almost like the penthouse with two separate his and hers areas, but the shower was shared. The bathtub was huge and like the penthouse, it was by the window with great views of the surrounding area. I watched appreciatively as his muscles flexed when he turned on the taps, added bath oils and checked to make sure the water temperature was just right.

My hair that’d been perfectly coiffed for an interview was a tangled mess. I stood in front of the mirror and smoothed it as best I could with my fingers, wishing I had a hair tie. I saw him watching me as he brought towels into the bathroom.

  "Come let me bathe you."

I went towards him and he helped me step into the bath, then got in behind me, placing his legs on either side of mine. He pulled me back to lie on his chest while he lovingly stroked my arms and shoulders, kneading out knots I didn’t realize I had. He poured a vanilla fragranced body wash into his hands and ran them all over my body, soaping my breasts and back. After he was done, he moved to sit in front of me and handed me the body wash to do the same for him. He sunk low and laid his head on my chest closing his eyes, while I stroked his body. I could tell he was hurting badly and just needed me to love him and hold him.

All the time we bathed he kissed me every chance he got, lavishing me with his attention and adoration. Neither of us were ready to talk. This was a time for healing; to recover from the ravages of the weeks we’d endured apart from one another.

When we were done and the water was getting cold, he reluctantly got out of the bath, grabbed a towel and tied it around his waist. He took another one and dried me off, helping me step out of the bath.

Just then, the door bell rang and the food arrived. I could tell the waiter was a little taken aback to find Jonathan in nothing but a towel around his waist and women’s clothes and buttons scattered everywhere, so I stood back out of sight until he’d set the food on the dining table and left with his wheelie tray.

Jonathan beckoned to me and pulled out a chair for me to sit, removing the silver salvers that covered our meals. He’d ordered Fettuccini Alfredo for me and Ravioli for himself. He asked if I was okay or wanted to swop. I stuck with his original offer, noting he’d ordered the same meal I’d had on my first visit to his penthouse a few months ago. He poured a glass of Viognier for each of us and we ate in silence for a few minutes, each of us wrapped up in our own thoughts. It was almost 6.00pm.

  He broke the silence.

  "So, how have you been?"

"Okay, I guess. I miss Atlanta."

He put his glass down and took my hand in his.

"What about me... Did you miss me?" There was unmistakable fervor in his voice. I knew he wanted to know if I’d suffered as much as he had. I placed my fork down and came around to him. I was close to tears.

"Oh baby, come to me," he said pushing his chair back for me to sit on his lap.

He hugged me close, putting his strong arms around me, stroking my back.

"I've missed you, Jonathan; more than I can tell you."

He pulled back slightly to look me in the eye.

"I want you back." He spoke firmly; resolved in his decision. "I’m in love with you." He waited for me to respond. I hesitated. The old problems that’d broken us apart hadn’t been resolved.

“I love you too, Jonathan,” I said looking at him. I saw the relief flood his eyes at my confession as he pulled my head down for a deep kiss.

“Lena, I wanted to tell you before you left me, but I wasn’t sure how you would take it.”

I frowned at his confession. “Why would you think that, Jonathan?”

“You’ve always been ready to leave me at the first sign of trouble, Lena. I thought telling you how I felt whilst we had so many obstacles would scare you away and I was clearing my path to you. I knew you would have questions rather than seeing my love for you as an answer.”

Wow. He was so perceptive; because right now all I could focus on were those questions. What happened to Ashley? Did he dump her for me? And what about his parents? My frustration was palpable.

  "Tell me about Ashley."

"I got engaged to Ashley just over three years ago. I first dated her when we wer
e fifteen years old and everyone thought we’d always be together. Our families have known each other for decades. As we got older, things fizzled out between us and her family moved to Texas. After college, when I was at Strauss Carter, busy working hard to transform the company, she came back into my life. She was familiar, she was safe and my parents approved. She began talking about marriage and asked if she should choose a ring. I knew I wasn’t ready but I didn’t want to disappoint her so I told her to go ahead. It seemed like the next logical step for us to become engaged; her parents and my parents both wanted it.”

“I saw the photos of you celebrating your engagement with your parents,” I interrupted.

“Let me finish, Lena. After our engagement, Ashley got it in her mind that I didn’t love her enough because I wasn’t spending enough time with her; so she got angry and went home to Texas and cheated on me with her ex. I was just still too busy with work to spend time going on endless shopping trips during working hours or on vacations overseas every month. Strauss Carter was on the cusp of a major breakthrough and I was working hard to build it but she didn’t want to hear it. She’s never had to work so she didn’t understand what I had to do.

Anyway, I caught her and when we spoke about it, we agreed to cancel our engagement indefinitely. We both kept the details from our parents; we just told them we weren’t ready. I was hurt, I felt betrayed but after a while I was over her; after all I thought we were rushing. She started calling me again when she heard those fake stories about me and Isabella and contacted my mother. My mother invited her and told her I missed her. I went with my parents and Ashley out to dinner since she was an old friend visiting from out of town and the photographers were there and took shots of us and created their own story.”

  "She was wearing your ring."

"I gave it to her three years ago. I don’t know why she chose to wear it that day. I guess she was trying to show me she was willing to rekindle our engagement.”

“You never told me about her,” I said accusingly.

“She was out of my life; I thought there was nothing to tell.”

“So your parents still want you to be with her after all this time?”

“That’s what they’re trying to push for.”

“In this day and age your parents are pushing someone on you? Can’t they let you make your own decision?”

“My father came from old Southern money, and he married my mother whose parents were second generation German immigrants. My mother inherited a lot of wealth in Switzerland and Germany from her grandparents and brought it into her marriage with my father and that’s how they merged into Strauss Carter. But they fell in love eventually and they think that will happen for me and Ashley.”

“So they want you to marry Ashley because she’s wealthy?”

“Ashley and I are both only children so her family’s desire is that she marries into our wealth and my parents want me to marry into theirs. Ashley has no business acumen or desire to run her family’s businesses. So her parents really want their daughter to be with someone they know and trust.”

I was puzzled beyond belief. Both his and Ashley’s parents wanted to control their grown up children to preserve their wealth? This was more than I could take.

“This sounds so last century,” I said, shaking my head.

“I know. Strategic alliances like this still go on in my world occasionally. What’s happiness got to do with it, remember?”

"Does she know you don't want to marry her?"

"Yes she does. She thinks it’s because I won’t forgive her for cheating on me, but it’s not that; not anymore. It’s because I love you, Lena."

“How do I know you’re telling the truth that it’s over between you and her?”

“You can call her, like you called Isabella.”

I blushed. "Don't you feel anything at all for her?"

"I thought I loved her three years ago. But since I met you, I realized what I felt for her was nothing compared to you.” He squeezed my hand tightly. “I now realize that if I’d married her then met you; I’d have left her to be with you, Lena."

My heart was filled with mixed emotions at his confession. I battled to focus on the rational thoughts running through my mind.

“But she’s more your type and you share a background.”

  He shook his head vigorously.

  “Lena, you’re my type.”

  “Why not Ashley?”

“I don’t want her!” he snapped, his jaw set.

His face softened marginally. “You are who I want, Lena. You keep running from me but it only makes me want to chase you. You are everything to me.”

  “And your parents?"

He breathed in deeply, as if he was about to say something painful.

“After the way my mother treated you, I tried all I could to manage her and make her and my father understand what you meant to me. They don’t want to hear it and they don’t care about what I want, only talking about how they sacrificed for their families and how it worked out in the end. They think I’m going rogue.”

“So how will you continue to work, building Strauss Carter if your parents are so against our relationship?”

"My personal shares at Strauss Carter and in Europe under Strauss Allianz are now worth over $7 billion combined. I'm planning on selling my $3 billion shares in Strauss Carter and leaving the family business. I no longer care what my family thinks."

His personal wealth was staggering; I had no clue he was this rich in his own right. I resisted a gasp of surprise over the revelation.

“But if you sell your shares, won’t that result in Strauss Carter being controlled by outsiders?”

“Lena, there is nothing I can do about that. It’s going to have to happen sooner or later.”

“So you are leaving your father who was on his way to retirement to manage what’s left, dealing with ruthless investors?”

  He sighed as if resigned.

“My parents can sell their shares off too and live comfortably forever for several lifetimes.”

“Won’t that break your family apart?” My heart was pounding in my chest.

“They won’t like it. And probably won’t speak to me for a while. But you’re my future, Lena and if they can’t accept you as my choice, then there’s nothing I can do.”

"So, they won't speak to you because of me." It was a statement, not a question.

"I don't care what anybody thinks anymore. I'm done with making other people happy. I’ve been patient because my parents’ health isn’t the best and I’m their only child. But there’s a point at which I have to say enough is enough."

I was in shock and distress that he was willing to give up his whole life for me.

"So you are planning to cut yourself off from your family, your business; all you've built, just for me?" My heart was racing.

"Yes. I'm giving it all up to be with you."

He turned my head to face him, holding my gaze.

"You are worth it, Lena." He was insistent and wanted me to believe he was serious.

"I'll move out here, or we’ll move somewhere else. I want to be where you are, Lena. I want what you want."

He pulled me in for a gentle seeking kiss.

“Lena, my life hasn’t been worth living since you left me. When we first made love, I tried to convince myself it was purely a physical thing but you made me fall in love with you. You have fulfilled every fantasy I’ve ever had, baby. You have everything I could ever want in a woman and I’ll never lose you again. I had to follow you here to find you and make you understand.”

He shifted me gently out of his lap and stood up.

"I have something for you; I'll be right back."

My racing heart was slowing to a thud I could feel in my head. I had to think fast. Is this what I wanted … for him to give up his entire life just for me? His family wanted him to marry this wealthy socialite heiress, more closely matched to his background. I’d no doubt they l
oved their son and wanted the best for him and his future. The best for him did not include a life with a black woman where he, as a billionaire, would live life being shunned by his peers and business associates; a life where he would lose the love and support of his family. He was their only son for goodness sake. I loved him; and I loved him too much to watch him be miserable over me. I had to make a move quickly.

I got up and began gathering my scattered clothes, shrugging on my shirt with its ripped buttons and wriggling into my skirt. He came back from the bedroom, with one hand behind his back. When he noticed me dressing, his smile faded.

"What are you doing? Where are you going?"

"I ... I have to leave, Jonathan." I walked past him to fetch my shoes from the bedroom floor and slipped them on. Even in five inch heels I still had to look up at him, but I avoided eye contact. I bit the inside of my cheek to keep from crying.

"Why? I thought we were talking things through and working things out?" His hand had dropped from behind his back to his side. I glanced and noticed he was holding a tiny black box in his hand. Panic began to fill me as I realized something I never expected; he’d been about to propose.

"Jonathan, it won't work between us. I ... I’ve moved on with my life."

"Baby, you don't mean that. You told me you still loved me."

"I think I was overwhelmed by the sex, that’s all,” I lied, attempting to snort in derision; but what threatened to spill instead was a sob of anguish.

"You can’t leave me, Lena. I'm in love with you. Please don't run away from me again." I could tell he was confused about my change in behavior. I wanted to run into his arms and tell him I did love him and wanted to stay with him, but I couldn't. Not with what he was giving up for me. It was too much to expect from any living soul. I had to up the stakes.
